"Jacqui Hicks' interpretations have the dynamism, the verve and the liveliness of a true jazz artist"
    -  The Times

Voted one of the UK’s top jazz vocalists, Jacqui sings jazz ballads with poise, elegance and beauty and her swinging jazz style is effortless and understated,

Jacqui built her jazz credentials first as vocalist with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and, since 1993, with the jazz/funk band Shakatak, performing both as backing vocalist and sax player and touring worldwide.  Jacqui has also toured with the Latin/Pop band Matt Bianco.

As a session singer she has recorded songs for Hal David & John Cacavas, Duncan Lamont, Brian Dee and Johnny Keating, among others. She's worked on several film soundtracks including Tomb Raider II and Veronica Guerin and has appeared in several Radio 4 plays for the BBC.  She has several albums to her credit - "With A Song In My Heart", "A Child Is Born" and her brand new funky album "The Boaters Project".

Joining Jacqui, will be guest Trumpeter Martin Shaw - one of the UK's leading jazz musicians who's worked with the likes of Sting, Natalie Cole, Jools Holland, Jamiroquai, Paul Young and the Brand New Heavies.
