"If you can't get a ticket for Diana Krall's Albert Hall show, Georgina Jackson makes a winning substitute" The Times
"Her Marvellous voice and musicianship ... has been a delight." Sir Terry Wogan
Trumpeter and Vocalist Georgina Jackson learned her trade in the North West, working with many famous names and bands in concert halls, on television and radio. She now performs her own shows across the country and around the world, most recently returning from being an invited artist at the 2016 International Trumpet Convention in California.
In 2012 the BBC Big Band asked her to perform a concert of the songs of Peggy Lee (one of Georgina's heroine's) which was broadcast on Radio 2. A live concert followed for BBC Radio 2's 'Friday Night is Music Night' in which Georgina sang Irving Berlin songs with the BBC Concert Orchestra.
Georgina is joined by one of the UK's foremost reedsmen, Pete Long, who is leader of the Ronnie Scott's Orchestra. Pete's accreditations are enviable and include performances with Jamie Cullum, Georgie Fame, The Birmingham Royal Ballet, Jools Holland, Clare Teal, Joss Stone, Dionne Warwick, Katie Melhua, Mel C and Emma B, Will Young, Seth MacFarlane.
As live artists Georgina and Pete make their audience laugh and cry in turn, delivering a thoroughly entertaining evening.
